Text from Dog: Play ball!
Winter: Snow on the ground, and a tossed ball disappears into the white stuff with a soft crunchy sigh. It’s a challenge to plow through the drifts, the ball is hard to find, and ice collects in between paw pads.
Early spring: Puddles, and wet feet that slide out from under a dog. Not to mention the mud that splashes and spatters on fur, where it sticks like Velcro. And might require a B.A.T.H.
For our ball-obsessed terrier, Tucker, Opening Day is when the snow is gone, the puddles have dried up, and mud is replaced with hard-packed dirt.
Then, it’s time to Play Ball!
What is your pet’s favorite game?

So, has Tucker’s favorite pall playing time been achieved? Hey, we’re cats…laser beam chasing (if we aren’t zooming and chasing each other) is always the best game. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
For Tucker, there is NEVER enough time to play ball. He has an indoor ball and we play nearly every night. Because. BALL!
Hey, it is opening day. 🙂
Exactly. Though for Tucker, every day is opening day. 😉
Um, YES!!!! You knows my Airedale-Mix furiend (I thinks you are part Airedale, and that’s that! BOL), I looooooves my ball too, so I thinks we could play for hours and hours!!! (of course I would win….BOL!!!)
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I know you and Tucker are made from the same cloth. I am also sure Tucker has some Airedale in him. I bet the two of you could match each other chase for chase. Because BALL!!!
My housemate, Bessie, doesn’t play with balls much, but she loves her long, stuffed snake toy. She drags it around from room to room and chews on it just to hear it squeak. Sometimes she flops the snake back and forth in her mouth and I have to steer clear so as not to get hit! Does your Tucker have stuffed toys, too? As a kitty, I will never understand doggies and how they play. Tee hee hee.
Oh yes, Tucker likes stuffed toys too, But mostly so I can throw them and he can bring them back, just as if they’re balls. Bessie’s snake sounds like fun!
