Text From Dog: In The Air

#TextFromDog Chicken. Steak, too. Me: ??? Dog: Possibly hot dogs. Me: What are you talking about? Dog: I'm going to visit the Demarests. Which reminds me.... What's for dinner? Me: Kibble. And dog food, liver. Dog: I'm going to visit the Demarests.

I guess the food is always better in the neighbor’s yard, right Jasper?

I supposed when your nosicle can detect all kinds of smells from far away, it’s kind of like spying on someone.

I’ve been thinking of writing a children’s book—maybe a middle grade—about kids who have the same kinds of senses as dogs and cats.

What would you do if you could hear and smell things from far away?

Our peeps had a BBQ and we only got kibble!

  2. We don’t blame you for going to the neighbors, Jasper.

You should write a book. Your sense of humor is top notch and your writing is really a treat to read. Get out that pen and paper and have a go. I’m routing for you.

    • Thank you! Actually, I’m on the final draft of a novel, and have several children’s picture book manuscripts I’m working on. And a memoir. I also have two stories / essays coming out in a book in September called SECOND-CHANCE DOGS: True Stories of the Dogs We Rescue and the Dogs Who Rescue Us. I’ll be posting about it as we get closer.
