Text from Cat: Dinner plans

Text from Cat: I could catch my own food. Me: There's cold wet snow on the ground. Cat: Tuna tonight?

 

Ears forward, tails twitching, eyes intent. Chittering their excitement. I’m sure my cats — all indoor only – believe they could hunt that bird, or squirrel or chipmunk, and feast upon their catch.

Safe within my warm home, with insulated windows, I’m also sure they have No. Idea.

But it’s good to dream big, which is why we have cat perches by so many of our windows. And when I watch my kitties twitch and chitter in their sleep, I know for once, they caught their dinner.

    that’s great… like my mom… she first said she will make a lot of fresh veggies… my dad said she has to peel and to cut them all… she pondered two seconds and said: mac&cheese… Elsa Clair you probably have a human-twin :o)

    My cat bro Bert still races out in the cold and snow, but he gives up about half way to the back of the yard. Mom sends Bailie out to tackle him and hold him. Snow and cold are not fun for cats.
